Around 350 kilometres of mountain road and almost none of it flat: hairpin passes, an emerald river canyon, a grey rock plateau and villages that only see a few visitors a week. We ride it slowly and stop wherever the view deserves it.

A ride you will still be telling stories about in ten years

Passes cut into grey limestone, the edge of the Nho Que canyon, the rock plateau of Dong Van. Between them: a swim under A Boong waterfall, a bamboo raft on the Hangtham Lin River, suspension bridges over jade rivers and villages of stilt houses.

Nights are spent with Tay and H'mong families. Dinner is cooked over their fire, your guide pours the rice wine and translates the stories. You do not just look at the culture here, you sit down in it.
